Modern Saskatchewan Farm Wedding – Zach & Suzie

In the most elegant, modern Saskatchewan farm wedding fashion, Zach & Suzie said their vows on the family farm on a sunny July day, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

As a documentary-focused photographer, I am constantly searching for those genuine, candid moments that tell the story of the day. This couple & their people gave me so many of them.

Some of my fav memorable moments of this modern Saskatchewan farm wedding:

– Suzie’s dad seeing her as he came in the house and both of them letting some tears slip

– the guests lining the edge of the yard to watch the ceremony; EVERYONE showed up.

– a family tradition of sharing a shot after the ceremony. I love it.

– a moment for Suzie to sit with her bestie & her pup under a tree, just existing in the moment. no rush, just hanging out.

– Zach’s hilarious comment during their thank you to their guests, making every single one of them laugh. every. single. one.

– so much happiness. so much energy. so much joy throughout the reception.

– a moment for sunset and a few more quiet moments together before the drinks & dancing really got started.

– drink, dine & dance we did!

One of the things that struck me most about Zach & Suzie’s wedding was the JOY. All day long, from everyone, so much happiness, love, energy & joy. So much warmth in every aspect of the day makes the memories feel extra rose-coloured.

As a documentary wedding photographer, my goal is to tell the story of the day as it truly happened, with as little influence & insertion from me as possible; just documenting the real, raw emotion & moments as they unfold. My hope is that while looking though these images, you can feel the happy, light-hearted & love-filled atmosphere of the day.

I am proud to say I was not only their trusted photographer, but also an honoured guest, and I am humbled to have been a part of such beautiful moments.
