Curtis and Kimberlee’s at Rolling Green Fairways wedding in Lloydminster was nothing short of a fairytale. In the middle of the rainiest summer ever, we only had a few drops fall on us and were blessed with the most amazing golden sunset to end the evening!
Together for years and having two children together, these two weren’t concerned with perfection and just wanted their wedding to be about their friends and family. The small wedding party included a few friends from Curtis and Kimberlee’s time in northern Alberta, and their kids were part of the day from getting ready with their parents to dancing the night away at the reception. The relaxed timeline gave us plenty of time, and created such a comfortable and fun atmosphere. Having the ceremony and reception in one place also made it so easy for Kimberlee and Curtis, their friends and their family to relax and enjoy the love-filled day.
What I love most about weddings isn’t the flowers or the dress or the pretty lights – its the relationships I get to witness. Like a bride and her mom (and a bride and her daughter), a groom and his guys, and the parents of the bride coming together after being apart and celebrating the love their daughter has found. I am a firm believer in connection over perfection, and Kimberlee and Curtis nailed that by keeping their wedding focused on the important things: relationships, love and fun.
Thank you, Leflars, for having me join you in your wedding day and I wish your family all the best in your new chapter!
