Rena and Travis were planning a big wedding for 2021 – after planning, replanning, and replanning again, they decided a romantic Jasper Park Lodge elopement was absolutely perfect for them.
They booked an elopement package with Jasper Park Lodge, and were provided with everything they needed for the most romantic winter elopement experience. With a cabin, a wedding planner, an officiant, cake and champagne, and a stunning view, they were all set.
It was -30*C that day, so the Lodge pivoted for this couple by taking their outdoor ceremony inside. They provided a private room with a view of Lac Beauvert and Whistler’s Mountain. With a herd of elk on the frozen lake as their only wedding guests, Rena and Travis said I do. Together with their wedding planner, I signed as a witness to their marriage. This was a moment I will never forget and a milestone as an elopement photographer!
After their intimate ceremony, Rena and Travis celebrated by cutting their cake and popping champagne. Name a more perfect introduction to marriage?! Since their family wasn’t with them in person, we headed back to their room to FaceTime some family members! I left them alone for an hour or so and scouted out some portrait spots, and we met back up for sunset photos that afternoon.
I left Jasper that evening feeling so emotional. Traveling to these beautiful locations, helping my couples have their best wedding day ever, signing as a witness and have my name on their marriage registration, documenting their elopement so they forever have lasting memories of the day they said their vows is all so magical. I’m endlessly grateful to be an elopement photographer.
