Haley and Dane had a choice to make for their wedding – a traditional celebration close to home with all their loved ones, or a dreamy mountain elopement in Jasper for just the two of them. They couldn’t decide, so they did both! After the busyness of their big wedding celebration had wound down, we headed up to Jasper for a post-wedding adventure session.

After their big day, they escaped to the mountains with their wedding clothes and their dogs. They explored Jasper without any set plans, enjoying the stunning scenery and each other’s company. We started off with exploring a rocky creek bed, with river views meeting backcountry-feeling mountains. We then headed to the Jasper airstrip, to embrace the wide-open grassy field with massive mountains for a backdrop. Finally, we made the trek up to Medicine Lake for sunset. We were spoiled with the warmest and driest November in Jasper and that was just the cherry on top of this natural, candid and timeless adventure session.

It’s common for couples to struggle with deciding between a big, traditional wedding and a small, adventurous elopement. Shoutout to the Tonquin Inn – we spent two nights here while in the area for this adventure session, and we LOVED it. The outdoor hot tub was everything and we loved being so close to town for restaurants. Highly recommend!
