Zoe & Jared wanted to capture the calm & quiet moments before their baby arrives and to document the nature of their relationship as it is now, just the two of them. They value candid, timeless, and natural photos with lots of space to unwind and be themselves, so we embraced a relaxed maternity session at home.

I’ve been lucky enough to capture their love story from engagement, to wedding, to maternity and most recently, their newborn session. These two honestly feel like family to me now! Their words “the level of comfort and way you capture us is something we’ll forever treasure” make my heart sing. It’s the biggest honour to be continually invited back to document their love and their lives.

We decided to focus on recreating a perfect Saturday for them. When asked what that looks like, they told me “the ideal Saturday has us cuddled up with the pups before taking them for a walk, coming home to make brunch and then curl up on the couch with alllllll the back rubs”. We took that and ran, deciding to make homemade pizzas and then chill out on the couch for their relaxed maternity session at home. This activity was not only something they enjoy doing together, but it also brought out their personalities and dynamic perfectly. As a documentary-focused photographer, I strive to capture these meaningful moments and big life events in a way that feels authentic and genuine. I wanted to capture the essence of Zoe and Jared’s relationship in a way that felt nostalgic and true to who they are.

We cooked, we danced, we chilled, we got creative and the dogs (their first children) were never far.

I am so grateful to have been able to document this special time in Zoe and Jared’s life. I hope that these photos will serve as a timeless reminder of the love and happiness they share, and that they can look back on them fondly for years to come.
