2020 seemed like the year of the intimate backyard wedding. But, Carly & Joe planned it before it was cool 😉
Unlike a lot of couples last year, who had no choice but to downsize, a small, backyard wedding with close family and friends was always Carly & Joe’s plan. They were the lucky ones; aside from a preparing a backup guest list, they didn’t have to make any changes to their wedding plans. All along they were planning to have an intimate outdoor wedding in Carly’s mom’s backyard. They were able to do exactly that, and on their original wedding date!
Their 3 sweet kids stood beside them as their mom took their dad’s last name, while their friends and family got to witness them exchange their vows. Carly & Joe set up a tent in the yard with some tables and chairs with a fire off to the side. A dessert table was set up with a few flavours of cupcakes from Hey Sugar Bake Shop. Later in the evening, plenty of pizza was delivered from Express Pizza to feed the party animals, which was the perfect alternative to a formal dinner. Everyone was more than fed and happy.
If you’re stuck between choosing a big, traditional wedding, or a tiny elopement, then maybe this is the inspiration you’ve been looking for!
