I met Cora and Conner at their farm near Sherwood Park in July for their summer engagement session. If you know these two, you’ll understand how perfect this engagement session was for them.
When people say to marry your best friend – these two took that advice and ran. Conner was doing some work for Cora’s family when he got stuck in the field, and Cora was part of the rescue team. Name a more unique “how did you meet story”, I’ll wait! Conner proposed to Cora at a local bar while playing pool; he wrote his proposal on a cue ball! She was a little stunned at first but she soon wrapped her head around the request and said yes to marrying him!
It didn’t take much warming up before they were giggling and goofing around together. Some of their responses to my prompts made me laugh out loud, which you’ll be able to see on their faces very easily in these photos haha. Their summer engagement session at their farm is the most perfect complement to Cora and Conner’s relationship; warm, bright and fun. They’re planning their wedding for this summer and I’m SO excited to witness their vows, and celebrate their love and friendship again!
These photos were all taken in a field, on a backroad and a front lawn. And look how they turned out! We don’t need mountain views or tall forests, and we don’t need an elaborate plan. These things are great, but definitely not necessary. Don’t underestimate locations that don’t jump out at you right away – we can make stunning photos anywhere! All we need is your love and some light to make your summer engagement session perfect for you.
